The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze!

You may not be able to tell from this photo, but these are ferocious pirates made out of flaming jack-o-lanterns. They are one of the many amazing pumpkin creations we saw this past week at The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze at the Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Weird name for a town, huh. Here's what they say about the blaze:

...more than 4,000 individually hand-carved, illuminated Jack O'Lanterns. Visitors meander through a woodsy, darkened, riverside landscape and discover a breathtaking, artistic display: dinosaurs, snakes, giant spider webs, ghosts, fish, mushrooms, flowers, clowns...all made of pumpkins! Enhanced by professional lighting and steeped in spooky music and sound effects, this must-see event is a delight for all senses!
